Alexander Gillespie, Peacefully at Albright Manor in Beamsville on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in his 104th year. Beloved husband of Margaret for 80 years. Loving father of Moyra and her husband Warren Utter. Grandpa will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ian, Glen (Leslie), Heather and his cherished great-grandchildren Brooke, Carleigh, Natalie, Michael and Samantha. Alec was a skilled stone mason and took pride in numerous projects that he worked on in the Hamilton area. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the compassionate care Alec was given in his short stay at Albright Manor. Cremation has taken place. William Alexander Gillespie passed away on Sunday, Sept 12, 2004 at the Welland Hospital in his 81st year, following living valiantly for six years with cancer. Bill was predeceased by Bernice, his beloved wife of 53 years and his grandson, Trent, both in 2003. Dearly loved father of Heather James Richardson of Fonthill, William of Woodbridge, and Garth of Welland. He was a devoted brother to Donald Jean of Grafton, and Robert Marion of Toronto. Bill served with the Royal Canadian Artillery Regiment overseas for five years during World War II. He was the owner/operator of Gillespie Pontiac Buick Cadillac Ltd in Welland for the past 32 years.
