Andrew had a rewarding career and was a lead in computerizing Prudential Assurance, working in APL and COBOL in the early 1970’s. He and Inga married September 1, 1956 and moved to Montreal in 1958. Amy FRASER (nee Gillespie) March 8, 1975 – September 26, 2023. The world has been dramatically changed for Marty, Brock and Brody Fraser as they mourn the loss of their beautiful wife and exceptional mother, Amy Fraser. Amy passed away Tuesday, September 26th at the tender age of 48 from stage 4 kidney cancer that had spread to her lungs. Amy’s early years were spent on the family farm in Ayr. She attended Southwood Secondary High School in Cambridge before heading off to the University of Western Ontario. Amy then embarked on a journey that lasted close to five years including Australia, New Zealand, various countries in Africa, many European countries, finally settling in England for a stint prior to her return to Canada. For just over two decades, Amy thrived in the Real Estate Industry operating a highly successful business with her husband and business partner Marty at Bosley Real Estate. They spent an enormous amount of time together and would not have had it any other way. Even in the face of her diagnosis four years ago, Amy chose to embrace life during her treatment.
One place on earth held a special spot in Amy’s heart, the family cottage on Lake Joseph in Muskoka. Over the decades she amassed countless cherished memories during her summers spent with generations of family in Muskoka. Amy and Marty were engaged at the cottage in the summer of 2008, and they were married later that year in Aruba. They have lived in Cambridge together for the past 15 years. Throughout her life Amy forged deep friendships with many scattered throughout the world. She nurtured strong bonds with her three brothers and their families, taking every opportunity possible to connect and always seemed to be one of the last to leave any family party. She never wanted the party to end. She treated life the same way and never wanted the party called life to end.
Amy is survived by her husband Marty Fraser and their two children, Brock and Brody. Beloved daughter of John Gillespie and Mary O’Connor, sister to Aidan Gillespie (Alice), Aaron Gillespie (Laura), Andrew Gillespie (Katie). Daughter-in-law to Paul and Mary Fraser, sister-in-law to Paula Dymond (Rob) and devoted aunt to her many nephews and nieces including; Anna, Arthur, Audrey, Alex, Raymond, Giuliana, Daniel and Claire Gillespie, Jonah Winkler (Haydn) and Darcy Winkler, Zach Dymond (Dionne) and Kristen Dymond. Amy was the niece to many aunts and uncles on both sides of the family along with a long list of cousins and their families.
