Adding records for Coe Hill (top menu bar) is my way of giving back to the community in which I was raised. It has always been “home’ to me.
I began tracing my Dad’s Gillespie family history in my early 20s, collecting every record I found with the name, Gillespie, on it. It became an extensive, physical library. My Mom’s history was done by someone else, who shared those records with me.
My son gave me this website as a gift, a blank canvas, because my children did not know what to do with many bookcases full of 2 inch binders of records. Gradually I learned how to add records to this site, keeping it simple. The physical library has ended, except for the Archives and a few volumes too precious to destroy. Preserving history matters to me. It is the legacy I leave to the world, plus my love for the Holy Trinity and what I learned in this journey of faith.
