Note:  I remember Turkey, from a brief stay of refreshment in Istanbul, then driving in a truck across the centre of the land. A pit stop in Ankara,  and giggling little boys outside a toilet wondering about this white woman inside the hut.  Their faces appearing in the tiny window, shocking me…….life and its unexpected, interesting moments. A touch of humour in my day in my memories 50 years ago….adventure is one thing; sometimes the reality is quite another.
