Bud French

FRENCH, Buddy “Bud”

Buddy left us very peacefully at QHC on March 23, 2015. He was 81 (1933-2015). He leaves behind his adoring wife Carrie (Caroline) and a beautifully blended family; Sharleen French, Rick French (Carol), Kathy French, Jackie Kay-LePors, Elizabeth French, and Susan Miller (Neil). Bud also had fourteen grandsons; Kris (deceased), David (Amy), Robert (Josephine), Jamie, Daniel, Michael (Christa), Zane (Hudson), Christoph, Derek (Maddy), Roan, Mark, Sean, Lee and Taj, and one great-grandson, Oliver. A “Last Farewell” reception was held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) on Sunday, March 29. Visitation was from 10 to 11 a.m., with friends and family invited to say a few words starting at 11:00 a.m. Following that, everyone was welcome to join us for a taste of all Bud’s favourite dishes at the funeral home.
Note:  I remember when Bud built the Red Eagle Campsite on Wollaston Lake, and his log home. Later he built another log home at the end of  Clayton Cove Road. Food at the campsite restaurant was delicious, especially the hamburgers and french fries and made a great treat for campers and residents in the area.
