Miss Valerie Jean Smith, daughter of Mr & Mrs J  Smith of Calgary, became the bride of George Wilson Gillespie, only son of Mrs C Gillespie and the late Mr Gillespie of Drumheller. The ceremony was held at Bethany Chapel with Mr Robert McKenzie officiating for the double ring rites. Miss Barbara Fisher was maid of honour. Bridesmaids were: Miss Loretta Ho-Lem and Miss Doreen Woodbridge. Gary Buteran was the best man. Ted Smith and Peter Davis were groomsmen. Wayne and Michael Smith were ushers. A reception was held in the church dining room, where Charles Dunkley proposed a toast. The couple will live in Calgary after a honeymoon trip to Banff.
