Predeceased by her husband, William; daughter Brenda; son William Jr, her parents Michael & Veronica; sisters Anne & Bridget (Frances). Leaving to mourn are her daughters: Elizabeth Snow (Ray), Catherine Walsh (Greg), Paul Anstey (Neil), and Ann Marie; her sons Michael (Clarise), Don (Patricia),  John (Cathy), and Allan (Sandra). Neil R Gillespie, 73, died on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Palliative Care Unit. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Cecil and Marie (Von Zuben) Gillespie. Neil and family moved to Newfoundland in 1973. Neil spent his working days in accounting. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus of St Theresa’s Parish. Neil is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Vicars); son Bill (Natasha) of St John; daughter Elaine (Con) Dunphy-Paradise; precious grandson Matthew Chalker. Brothers Len (Mary) in Halifax; Laurie (Elva) in Shediac, NB, John (Maureen) in Halifax; sisters Joan MacIsaac in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Mary (Rene) Hebert in Ste Anne d’Kent, NB, Elaine (Tibor) Hary in Markham, Ontario; Sister-in-law Gen Vicars in Mount Pearl; brother-in-law Doug (Rosemary) Vicars in Halifax, NS. Neil was predeceased by his brother Ken and his wife Dorothy, mother-in-law Mary Vicars, father- in- law William Vicars, and sister in law Jeanette Payne. Caul’s Funeral Home for visitation and funeral mass on Thursday, July 11 from St Peter’s Parish. Internment at  Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Predeceased by her husband, John, parents Isaac and Elizabeth Powers, brothers Hedley, Oscar, Joe, Ernest; sisters Myrtle, Ann, Hilda, Clara Bell, and Violet. One daughter Karen (George) Butt, two sons Don (Murley) and Paul (Linda) all of Carbonear. Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home with service at Bethany United Church, Carbonear Sunday, Nov 29. Indeed, they are not even Canada! Saint-Pierre and Miquelon are the last piece of French territory in North America. They are quite distinct from Newfoundland and Labrador.
