Thousands of students have enjoyed their college days in this country in the past and have gone home to live productive lives. The rapid change in the past five years has brought a different perspective and moral code.
Asylum seekers are individuals who flee their home countries due topersecution or fear of persecution and seek protection in another country. Although one may feel compassion for those in real danger fleeing as a refugee, it is evident that the door of Education may soon be closing for international students because of the deceit possibly during the application process and the lust for a Western lifestyle. How many of these students have the support of their families, or are they in open rebellion against their family wishes? Family connections are far stronger in many countries than North America.
