Alexander David Gillespie, Nov 17, 1919-Feb 11, 2008. Passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary on Feb 11th at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ethel Grace, in October of 2007. He is survived by his three sons: Brian (Judy); Stewart (Susan); and Stephen (Linda). He was a veteran of WWII, where he was a member of the Royal Air Force, flying on the bombers as a Flight Engineer, and surviving POW camps for two years.

Edward Rex (Ted) Gillespie 1922-2005. Ted passed away at his home in Invermere, BC on Aug 22, 2005. He was born in Calgary, Alberta and attended Mount Royal Public School and graduated from Western Canada High School before joining the navy RCNVR in 1941. During World War II, he was deployed on convoy duty in the north Atlantic aboard the HMCS Loch Moriach. He received an honourable discharge from the Navy in 1945.

He was born in Toronto, Ontario, child of Cecil and Marie Gillespie, the eldest of eight children. Ken joined the Canadian military in 1950, where he would serve at home and abroad with the United Nations force to the Gaza Strip during the Suez Middle East Crisis.
