William Gillespie: Born, 1811. Licensed by the Presbytery of Stirling, 1844. Ordained, 1844, at Tulliallan, Perthshire. Married, 1851, Ann Ziegler. Died, 1858. Additional notes: He was born about 1821, in Dunipace, Stirlingshire, the son of James Gillespie, farmer, and Margaret Gillespie. He married Ann Ziegler on 12th June, 1851, in Tulliallan. She was born about 1820, in Edinburgh, the daughter of Alexander Ziegler, surgeon, and Annie Ziegler. William died of obstruction of the bowel on 7th February, 1858, at the Free Church Manse, Tulliallan. His wife died of old age on 11th June, 1906, at 47 George Square, Edinburgh.

(1) Annie Gillespie baptized on 26th March, 1852, in Edinburgh.
(2) Margaret Gillespie baptized on 26th October, 1853, in Edinburgh.
(3) Jane Ziegler Gillespie born on 18th September, 1855, in Tulliallan, Perthshire. She died there the following year.
(4) Janet Ziegler Gillespie born on 26th May, 1857, in Edinburgh. She died in Tulliallan, Perthshire, the following year.
William Gillespie, Born in Fife, 1837. Studied at the University and Free Church College, Glasgow. Ordained at Keith, 1870. Married, the same year, Jessie Harper. Translated, 1879, to Airdrie, West. Notes: In the Free Church, he served in Keith, Moray; and West, Airdrie, Lanarkshire. This ministry was continued in the United Free Church. He retired in 1900 and died in 1922. His son, James Gillespie, was a minister of the United Free Church.
