WATLING, Mark     Oct 27, 1967 – March 1, 2023

Mark Andrew Watling of Coe Hill, formerly of Beaverton and Ballantrae, age 55, passed away on March 1st, 2023, due to a sudden heart attack. Mark was born on October 27th, 1967, to parents Craig Watling and Beverley Taylor (1996) in Willowdale, Ontario. Mark grew up with his younger brother, Todd Watling. After graduating from Aurora High School in 1987, he went on to complete a Motor Vehicle Mechanic apprenticeship through Centennial College. After completing his apprenticeship, he worked at different automotive shops such as UPS, Coach Canada, City View, Turney’s. In 1992, Mark reconnected with an old Elementary School friend, Laurie-Jane Schell, with whom he started a relationship where he became the father of her 2 children, Daryl and Jessica. They went on to have 2 more children of their own, Jaiden and Laura-Louise. Mark and Laurie-Jane were together for 15 years, and raised all four children in Beaverton, Ontario. Mark was a devoted father and partner that worked tirelessly to provide a happy, comfortable, safe and fun lifestyle for all his family. He was always happy to help his family by doing things such as building them a new deck on the house, helping them during unforeseen circumstances, and always having a room for his children. In his free time, Mark spent time on his computer, playing games, watching YouTube videos, or watching old movies. He also enjoyed collecting Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia and taking his beloved 2008 Mini Cooper S on a cruise. Mark also loved to spend time with his two nieces, Bristol and Teaha, of Todd and Lindsay Watling. Lastly, Mark had a great passion for family and Christmas. He recorded every Christmas with his family until 2016, when his youngest child was 17 years old. On his last Christmas, all he asked for was an extra day to spend with his family, which they happily delivered. Mark will be remembered by his extended family, friends and colleagues. There will be a celebration of life held sometime in the spring in Goodwood, Ontario, where anyone who knew Mark is welcome.
